Over the last few years, there’s been an undeniable disco resurgence. Among her recent releases, “Your Funeral” stands out thanks to its pop-rock beat, honest lyrics and uncanny ability to find itself stuck in your head after a single listen. The Sydney musician has released several tracks already this year - with her next album Analysis Paralysis set to land on September 1, - and embarked on an Antipodean tour that included an appearance at Splendour in the Grass and supporting Tove Lo in New Zealand. 3/ “Your Funeral” by MAY-AĮver since she won triple j’s 2022 Hottest 100 with her feature on Flume’s “Say Nothing,” it’s only been upwards for MAY-A. “Counterfeit” is a standout track from the impressively amorphous LP, with a beat that rivals some of Timbaland’s hottest productions.
